Blanca Dances

2023. Without representing, expressing, or
demonstrating---I tried to collapse the distance between
myself, my body-and the phenomena around me.
Emptying myself of forms, of goals, of power, of future,
of desire, I filmed these attempts to commune with and
to be intimate with the Castillo and its surrounding
plants, winds, sunsets, and soundscape.
The film contains a poem entitled "Blanca" a poem
which speaks from the orientation of the valley. The
valley as a psychic position, a form of subjectivity, a
particular and mysterious epistemology--a topographic
love poem.

'traza la peregrinación nocturna que
tomé al Castillo de Blanca al atardecer durante el mes
de julio de 2023. Sin representar, expresar o demostrar,
traté de confrontar la distancia entre mí, mi cuerpo y los
fenómenos que me rodeaban. Vaciándome de formas,
de metas, de poder, de futuro, de deseo, filmé estos
intentos de comulgar e intimar con el Castillo y las
plantas, los vientos, los atardeceres y el paisaje sonoro
que lo rodean.
La película contiene un poema titulado "Blanca", un poema que habla desde la orientación del valle. El valle como posición psíquica, forma de subjetividad,
epistemología particular y misteriosa, poema de amor
topográfico.
